PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
You are responsible for undertaking program/project implementation, management, coordination and networking with provincial government and CSO partners and community members. You will ensure the implementation of ChildFund Cambodia’s Education programs in Samlout and Rukh Kiri district, Battambang province to contribute towards achieving the overall objective as stated in the education program description.
KEY DUTIES
- Monitor project activities to ensure the project timeline, efficiency and quality from technical perspective; and take follow-up actions on identified issues, track and feedback to partners and management team;
- Support Specialist team to develop concept note and proposal as needed.
- Take lead to update project in SALESFORCE, develop ToR of project evaluation.
- Provide supportive supervision to partners and ensure partners strictly follow ChildFund Cambodia working principles, implementation plan and budget plan;
- Promote continual improvement, quality, transparency and good governance among the team and relevant partners;
- Provide comments to supervisor on the impact of the relevance plans, and achievements, including recommendations for project variance;
- Support and coordinate with partners the timely production and submission of high standard and quality periodic reports, as required, to relevant counterparts;
- As a focal person for all projects in the education sector, file all relevant documents in safe and secure place for the audit purposes.
- Support government and NGO partners to develop budget plan; monitor and review the progress against spending;
- Be responsible for project cash advance and foster the expenditure progress against the schedule in line with policy compliance on financial management;
- Review monthly financial report, budget plan and request for fund transfer submitted by partners;
- Establish and maintain a good and productive working relationship with partners government and NGOs at all levels;
- Lead partnership monthly/quarterly meeting with project partner (local NGO);
- Perform other duties as advised by line supervisor.
- Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding or sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment (SEAH) risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding and PSEAH policy and procedures, and conduct yourself consistent with those policies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree in Education, social development or other related field;
- Solid experience in Education area providing support in term of Education technical inputs;
- Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring and learning experience, preferably in education project;
- Experience working with children, youths in rural community and government partners; and
- A highly self-motivated and committed person with a strong interest in learning.
- Experience of working with local NGO as an implementation partner, sound understanding of the RBA and ability to coordinate with the senior government officials
DESIRABLE
Solid experience in Education area, project design, implementation, monitoring, coordination and reporting.
